PARTYLICIOUS is a societal press venture owned by Fauzan Sohail with its base in Lahore and dedicated to promoting, covering, and reviewing niche and exclusive parties/GTs/events/concerts/launches e.t.c. While our primary focus is on covering events in Lahore, we are currently in the process of expanding our operations in Islamabad and Karachi as well with selective coverage of events there.
Because we enjoy the city’s social life and would like to share it with you too! Glossy magazines and funky entertainment websites (without naming any) give you nothing more about the events than page after page of pre-selected images snapped and (sometimes) photoshopped to make certain some look better (or worse). We go far beyond that! Ours is an honest endeavor to not only get to the sweetest and the most bitter details but also bring you the juiciest and the naughtiest scoops, rumors and gossips circulating around: Who said what and wore what and did what (or did who perhaps)!
PARTYLICIOUS caters to a very niche and exclusive group of promoters, event managers, socialites, and fashion designers who are the movers and shakers of Pakistan’s social hubs. To an extent, we tend to serves as a platform for promotion of events and talents in the field of event management as well. While there are only handful of well established and renowned Event Management and PR companies operational in Pakistan, the dearth of these initiatives (and initiative-takers) is what we aim to address through PARTYLICIOUS.
In essence, PARTYLICIOUS is a fine and integral mix of a promoter and a critic.
Events we cover need to have certain criteria and standards that are taken under consideration before it is taken on board. A typical process life-cycle such an event at PARTYLICIOUS thus begins with an unbiased promotional drive aimed at mass awareness of the event itself. This is achieved effectively via
- our SMS Alert Service that has over 500 subscribers currently who get instant and first hand information about the event and its details.
- the site itself where by it is listed in our WHAT’s ON section and talked about on our blog
- mass email to our members both on Facebook where our group is established and on email
- Partylicious live messenger chat that has majority of our members added on to who can chat in real time to get necessary information about location, ticket/invite pricing and procurement, and any other details regarding an event.
Through PARTYLICIOUS’s ever increasing pool of invaluable connections, contacts and mutual agreements with like-mined organizations, people, and sources, we aim to project events and occasions to the highest levels.
We generate the event’s pre-hype for all event managers and companies connected to us along with periodically publishing and pushing their profiles and portfolios to where sound investments lie. If it excites us enough, PARTYLICIOUS also assists in selling the event from a very neutral stance.
The second phase of our process involves attending the said event to cover and publish reviews and image galleries later on. The reviews are our unbiased, critical, and blunt takes on what we saw and perceived of the event. We narrow down to the high and low points of the event itself with the aim to
- assist promoters and event managers alike on where they can further improve and to acknowledge what they did right
- to enlighten our readers with something more than smiley pictures about the events and help them decide if the next party from the said promoters/event managers is worth their time and money
